Stars of the upcoming fox TV lineup walked the blue carpet at the Fox Fall Eco-Casino Party Monday night in Santa Monica. The cast of Bones, The Mindy Project and new series Dads showed up to party on the oceanfront — and proclaim their affection for the premiere of police comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” Bones actress Michaela Conlin told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a great cast, the whole group, and I’m really excited about that.”

Star Andy Samberg said that so far the move from Saturday Night Live has been a smooth one. ?“It’s been pretty easy,” declared Samberg. “Waking up is the biggest hurdle for me. The schedule is very different, and it’s much more similar to filming a movie.”
Samberg told THR that his character will experience a little romance when he goes on a date with a coroner, played by Mary Elisabeth Ellis. He also dished that viewers can expect to see guest appearances from Andy Richter, Fred Armisen, Kid Cudi and an episode with Dean Winters as his rival. He even has a favorite cop show of his own.
“I love Police Squad,” commented Samberg. “I mean this show is a lot like Barney Miller, and I love Barney Miller, but I’m goofy.”
Co-star Terry Crews said that for a young comedian, he has really been impressed by Samberg’s work ethic. Having filmed a few episodes from the first season, Crews also noted there is a stronger connection between him and his character beyond their sharing the name “Terry.”
“They really based a lot on things that I’ve told them about me having all my daughters and all my kids and being scared of getting hurt when I was in the NFL,” said Crews. “It really mirrors a little bit of my life.”

David Boreanaz was also present in support of long-running Bones, back for a ninth season. The show gets to an anticipated wedding rather quickly, and Boreanaz says viewers are in for a complete whirlwind of events — including the unresolved serial killer conflict and the return of recurring guest Cyndi Lauper.
“The fact that we’re now at this point with the marriage and the ceremony coming up, which we start shooting today it’s very exciting to see how all these past characters come back to show and relive this union between the two characters.”
Fox’s premieres kick off Wednesday night with the return of The X Factor.
