Salute to ServiceSACRAMENTO –

Sacramento State students and visitors who don’t have semester parking permits can park for just 35 cents Monday and Tuesday.

Those who want the discounted rate have to sign up at www.paybyphone.com,  download a free app, enter Sac State’s 5115 location number and their parking duration. Those with basic cell phones can still get the discount by calling (866) 234 – 7275.

The school is hoping to get many people to sign up for the service with the two-day discount. An all-day parking permit at the school is $6 or a $3 charge for every two hours.

Students can also expect new street names. The words “North,” “South,” “East” and “West” have been removed from State University Drive. The eastern part will remain “State University Drive.” “North State University Drive” is now Arboretum Way.” “West” and “South State University Drive” will become extensions of College Town Drive.

Smaller, unnamed streets around Sac State will also receive names.
