Three Citrus Heights-area schools were placed on lock down Thursday morning following an officer-involved shooting, police say.
The officer is uninjured, according to police.
The Sunrise Tech Center and Holy Family School were given shelter in place orders, following a reported shooting along Oak Avenue. Classes at Sunrise Tech Center were canceled for the rest of the day.
The nearby Woodside Elementary was also on lock down as a precaution, but has sense returned to normal.
Officers from Rocklin Police are also on the scene.
It’s unclear what led up to the alleged shooting.
