TORONTO – Joanna Lumley defined the lead role of Davina in the original BBC dramedy Sensitive Skin.

Also boarding the Canadian series about fifty-somethings is Elliott Gould, Nicolas Wright, Colm Feore, Don McKellar, Joanna Gleason, Clé Bennett, Mary Walsh and Marc-André Grondin.
Cattrall will executive produce the Canadian adaptation, along with McKellar, who directs all six episodes from scripts by Bob Martin.
The dramedy will shoot in Toronto for six weeks.
Tricon Films & Television will handle international sales.
Movie Central and The Movie Network, in commissioning the Canadian adaptation of Sensitive Skin, are following a trend here that sees broadcasters air local versions of Amazing Race, The Bachelor and Big Brother to help drive primetime ratings.
