Deputies are investigating a suspicious dead body found along the levee south of Clarksburg along the Sacramento River.

Thursday afternoon the body was found just north of Walnut Grove, near Twin Cities Road.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies say the death appears to be the result of suspicious circumstances.
