DAVIS—

A 27-year-old woman was arrested for threatening an Amtrak conductor with a knife early Tuesday afternoon, Davis Police say.

Officers showed up at the Amtrak station along 2nd Street just around 12:35 p.m. after getting a report about the incident.

Monyea Monique Johnson was taken into custody at the scene.

Police found that Johnson had been asked to get off the train at the Davis station because she didn’t pay for a ticket. Johnson is said to have gotten angry about being confronted and spit on the conductor. She then took out a knife and pointed it at the conductor.

By the time officers showed up, Johnson had put the knife away. She was arrested and, while being taken to Yolo County Jail, she spit on an arresting officer, police say.

Johnson, a San Francisco resident, now faces making criminal threats, brandishing a deadly weapon, battery on a peace officer and battery charges.
