Beauty and the Beast revisits the past.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a scene from the Nov. 4 episode, “Reunion,” where Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) attends her high school reunion and the nostalgic event dredges up more of her past than she originally thought.
While Catherine is concerned about Vincent’s (Jay Ryan) whereabouts, Gabriel (Sendhil Ramamurthy) is more interested in Catherine’s well-being after an attack by another beast, Zach (Blair Redford). “Catherine, I’m more concerned about you!” Gabriel says. “Zach already attacked you once, which means until we know where Zach is… .” “We should get her out of here,” Tessa (Nina Lisandrello) says, getting ready to leave.

It’s at that moment that Catherine soaks in her surroundings, reminiscing about what she thought she wanted her life to be like in high school.
“Ten years ago I thought I’d be a lawyer like my father,” she says. “Married with kids … botox … and now 10 years later, I am in love with one beast and I am running from another. So much for ‘most likely to succeed.'” Funny how life works.
Seconds later Vincent re-emerges at the reunion to take Catherine away, but Gabriel jumps in only to have Vincent aggressively reassure him (aka pulling Catherine toward him like a rag doll) that he’s got the situation under control. Awkward. Watch the scene above.
Beauty and the Beast airs on Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
