EL DORADO COUNTY—

Cal Fire officials say they have fully contained a fire burning near Union Mine High School late Friday afternoon.

The fire managed to scorch 116 acres and destroy one home before 100% containment was reached.

Multiple outbuildings were also destroyed, Cal Fire notes.

The fire prompted evacuations to homes in the immediate vicinity. About 30 to 40 homes were threatened.
