The World Series continued to dominate on Fox Thursday night, though early returns underestimate Game 2’s strength. With time zone adjustments, the Boston-St. Louis showdown averaged a 3.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 13.4 million viewers.
With Wednesday’s game rising to a 4.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 14.4 million viewers in the finals, the series is thus far pacing 13 percent ahead of last years’ in viewers.
The Big Bang Theory (4.9 adults) held steady with last week, while recently renewed The Millers (2.8 adults) and The Crazy Ones (2.3 adults) fell four-tenths and one-tenth of a point, respectively. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland was down again on ABC, losing a tenth of a point for a 1.1 adults rating. Filling the spot of Parks and Recreation and canceled comedy Welcome to the Family, a Voice encore kicked off NBC’s night with a 1.3 adults rating. The boosted lead-in did nothing for Sean Saves the World (1.1 adults), The Michael J. Fox Show (1.2 adults) or Parenthood (1.3 adults). The trio were even with last week’s ratings, giving NBC a nightly average of a 1.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.6 million viewers.
The Vampire Diaries (1.1 adults) and Reign (0.6 adults) both dropped two-tenths of a point on The CW, giving the net a 0.9 adults rating and 2.2 million viewers for the night.
