Grimm is adding two new characters.
Covert Affairs‘ Anne Dudek and Enlisted’s Keith David have joined the third season of the NBC drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively.

Dudek will guest-star in the episode titled “Once We Were Gods” as Professor Vera Gates, a bright young archeology professor excited to begin studying a 3,000-year-old sarcophagus. What makes this discovery especially unique, however, is that the sarcophagus is decorated with a carving of Anubis (the Egyptian God of the Dead) as opposed to the typical sarcophagus carving — that of a pharaoh.
In the hour, titled “The Show Must Go On,” David will play Hedig, the ringmaster for a unique traveling carnival. An entertainer above all, Hedig is very proud of what he’s built, willing to do whatever it takes to get his performers to put on the best show possible.
Both episodes will air in the spring, following the Sochi Winter Olympics.
Dudek is repped by Innovative Artists and Anonymous Content. David is repped by Stone Manners Salners, London Theatrical and Silver Mine Entertainment.
Grimm airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
