Former MTV head of programming Janollari inked a three-year deal in May with Universal Television to develop scripted comedies, dramas and longform projects for broadcast and cable networks.
The new post marks a reunion for McGintee with Janollari. She most recently was scripted series director of development, where she developed and produced series including Awkward and Teen Wolf as well as I Just Want My Pants Back, The Inbetweeners and Underemployed. She previously worked in branded content at ad agency BBDO in New York, where she helped developed HBO’s award-winning “Voyeur” compaign.
For his part, Markey most recently was manager of drama development and current programming at Chernin Entertainment, where he was involved in the development and production of Fox dramas Touch and Terra Nova as well as A&E’s Breakout Kings.
“Anne-Marie and Chris are two of the most creative and passionate young executives I have encountered in a long time in this business. They both have exquisite taste, incredible relationships with the agent and writer communities, and an inspirational and enthusiastic quality,” Janollari said.

During his producing days, former WB Network president Janollari developed scripted series including Friends, Supernatural and Six Feet Under.
The Universal TV pact reunites Janollari with former producing partner and NBC Entertainment chief Bob Greenblatt. Together, the duo also developed The Hughleys, One on One and Eve.
Janollari exited his role at MTV in November and was replaced by Lifetime and WB Network veteran Susanne Daniels as president of programming.
