CNN is planning to air a special on Justin Bieber following the pop star’s arrest Thursday in Miami Beach, where he was charged with DUI, resisting arrest and having an expired driver’s license.
Justin Bieber‘s Wild Ride, airing from 10:00 p.m. Friday, will “take a look at the roller-coaster life of the pop star, from his No. 1 hits to his tabloid exploits and recent brushes with the law, culminating in Thursday’s arrest in Miami.” Nischelle Turner reports.
VIDEO: Bieber’s Arrest Allegedly Captured
Bieber was busted after he was observed to be drag racing in a yellow Lamborghini at 4:13 a.m. on Thursday morning. A police officer noticed his car and a red Ferrari drag racing, according to the arrest report. During the race, both cars reached 55-60 mph in a residential area where the speed limit is 30 mph.
When the officer stopped Bieber and approached his car, he smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed he had bloodshot eyes, the arrest report states. It also stated that Bieber was found to be under the influence of alcohol, but it’s unclear if he was under the influence of drugs.

Bieber resisted arrest, questioning why he was being stopped, and was arrested for resisting and not following his instructions. Bieber resisted three attempts to pat him down for weapons, saying “I ain’t got no f—ing weapons. Why do you have to search me? What the f— is this about?” and “What the f— are you doing?”
He was then placed into custody and taken to the police station. He has been transferred to the Miami-Dade County jail.
The Miami Herald also reported that Bieber told officers he had a beer, was under the influence of antidepressants and had been smoking marijuana all day.

The arrest is the latest run-in with the law for Bieber, whose house was searched last week after he was accused of egging a neighbor’s house and videotaping the incident.
Bieber has also repeatedly been cited for speeding, openly smoking pot and hosting loud parties at his Calabasas refuge. In addition, the pop star recently made headlines for allegedly sneaking out of a Brazilian brothel, illegally tagging a hotel wall and urinating into a mop bucket while yelling “F— Bill Clinton” and desecrating a photo of the former president.

In a recent THR cover story, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun said that while he tried to protect the pop star when he was younger, he now finds he can’t control him.
“When Justin was younger, it was, ‘Keep him out of trouble, stop him from falling down, protect him as much as you can from anything that can hurt him,’ ” Braun told THR. “When I try to do that now, he’s resentful, he pushes away and rebels. What I’ve come to learn is: Be there, give the best advice you can, but he has to be allowed to make his own decisions — and his own mistakes.”
