MODESTO—

Stanislaus County authorities have arrested two more men suspected of helping kidnap a man and holding him for ransom over the weekend.

Adan Esquivel, 22, and Arturo Martinez, 20, were taken into custody by Patterson authorities and the Modesto Police Street Gang Unit.

A third man, 21-year-old Patterson resident Victor “Cuate” Sandoval, is still on the run.

Another man, 22-year-old Jonathan Figueroa, was arrested Sunday in connection to the kidnapping. He faces kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, conspiracy by a gang member and criminal gang activity charges.

The men held are said to have kidnapped a man late Saturday night, holding him for an $800 ransom. That man was able to call 911 and tell authorities that he had been kidnapped. Stanislaus County Sheriff’s investigators were able to find and free that man.

Anyone on information where Sandoval might be is asked to call Detective Frank Soria at (209) 525-7080.
