ROSEVILLE—

Two teens have been arrested after police say they pointed a laser cars and a CHP aircraft.

Roseville Police told FOX40 that they started getting complaints from motorists Saturday night about someone pointing lasers at cars.

A California Highway Patrol aircraft soon made its way to the area, only to have someone point a laser at the plane as well. But, thanks to being targeted by the laser, authorities were able to pinpoint the location of the culprits.

Once in the sights of CHP, the two teens took off running, only to be caught by police officers a short time later.

Police say that the two young men admitted to pointing a laser at cars and the helicopter and were arrested. Brian James Levenstein, who just turned 18, was taken to Placer County Jail, while the unidentified minor was taken to the juvenile detention center.

Levenstein faces a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police note that the teens were using a relatively high-powered green laser, due to the fact that the laser was able to make it all the way up to the airplane.
