PLACERVILLE-
A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle, reportedly driven by his girlfriend, on Broadway near Texerna Court just east of Placerville, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators with the sheriff’s office and CHP responded to a reported hit-and-run incident about 2 p.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived on scene they found a seriously injured man who appeared to be struck by a car.
The vehicle involved was reported to be a 2001 BMW driven by Terrie Crampton, 45, of Pollock Pines, according to Lt. Tom Murdoch.
Crampton is reportedly the girlfriend of the victim. She returned to the scene and the BMW was located on Newtown Road.
The victim was airlifted to a hospital in Roseville. Crampton was booked into jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and hit and run.
