American Idol‘s season 12 finalists about to embark on a North American tour met the press this week but were in for a surprise when they came face-to-face with the crew from The Hollywood Reporter and were asked to play journalists. In what’s become an Idol Worship summer staple, we asked the Top 11 to interview each other.

Did any of them rise to the level of Barbara Walters or Anderson Cooper? See for yourself as Candice Glover and Curtis Finch, Jr. interview each other, or Kree Harrison and Angie Miller take turns putting their fellow Idol on the grill. Amber Holcomb gets to ask and be asked by Lazaro Arbos as well as Janelle Arthur. Burnell Taylor and Devin Velez trade questions, while Paul Jolley and Aubrey Cleland turn the tables on each other.

The results range from the expected to the totally unexpected. Velez caught Taylor off guard by asking about his relationship with Holcomb. Many questions revolve around the tour, including which bunk the Idols prefer to sleep in (top, middle or bottom?) and how they feel about performing for thousands of people in large arenas. The Idols also answer questions about fan encounters they’ve had since the season finale and who the most interesting person was they met during their time on Idol. (Hint: They all gave the same answer!)
