AUBURN-
Auburn Police announced early Thursday morning that they had arrested a second person in connection with a reported 300 pounds of meat stolen from the Salvation Army.
Richard Earl Means, 49, was arrested Wednesday afternoon as detectives followed up on a lead in the case.
The first man, 41-year-old Jeff Holzman, was arrested last week. Police say two men broke into the Salvation Army freezer and make off with the frozen meat.
Most of the meat was found at a business in Penryn and returned to the freezer.
The food is intended to go to the needy.
