FAIRFIELD-

Fairfield Police say several people were present when 16-year-old Naomy Rojas was shot to death early Saturday morning.

Rojas’ body was found between some railroad tracks and the south fence of a Phoenix Drive apartment complex. Shortly after 1 a.m., officers got several calls about shots fired near the complex. Responding officers found nothing, the police department said.

A few hours later, police got a call about someone being shot. Officers then found Rojas’ body.

Police describe the area as “densely” populated, and believe several people fled the scene when Rojas was shot.
