Bruce LeeA statue honoring the legendary Bruce Lee has been unveiled in Los Angeles Chinatown, reports the LA Times.

The 7.6 foot tall statue mark’s the neighborhood’s 75th anniversary and is meant to draw attention to Lee’s history in the area.

The San Francisco-born actor moved to Los Angeles in the 1960’s. He opened his third martial arts studio in North Chinatown during the time he was playing Kato in the TV series, the “Green Hornet.”

The statue will be on temporary display during Chinatown Summer Nights, a local street festival. Fundraising is underway to permanently install the statue and add a seating area.

You can read more about these efforts in the LA Times.
