Campo will play Brian, a young and dedicated fireman who is introduced at the scene of a major accident. He’s engaged to Sasha (Hemmens), a tough cop with a good heart who also is involved in the disaster. They’re slated to appear in the two-hour season premiere, with the potential to continue beyond.
The actor most recently had a seasonlong arc on Syfy’s Being Human and appeared on FX’s Justified in a memorable torture sequence with Patton Oswalt‘s Bob Sweeney. He next appears in Showtime’s fall drama Masters of Sex. Repped by Mosaic, Domain Talent and attorney Patti Felker, Campo’s breakout role was the starring role in the fourth entry of Warner Bros./New Line’s Final Destination franchise.
For her part, Hemmens’ credits also include The CW’s cheerleading entry Hellcats, The Haves and the Have Nots and roles in the feature 3 Musketeers and the TV movie Reckless. She’s repped by APA and Untitled Entertainment.

It’s unclear whether the major accident the two characters are involved with is the bus explosion featured in the superstorm from the shocking ninth-season finale.
Showrunner Rhimes recently tweeted that the cast and crew were back to work this week, sharing a photo from the first table read of the season.
Grey’s Anatomy returns with a two-hour season premiere at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, ABC.
