History is developing a new scripted series, The Boys of ’67.
The drama centers on the first platoon of Charlie Company, 9th Infantry Division — the only division raised, trained and deployed en masse to service in Vietnam. The upcoming series was announced Tuesday by exec vp and general manager of History and H2, Dirk Hoogstra.
Jeb Stuart, whose writing credits include films Die Hard and The Fugitive, will pen and executive produce the show based on the book of the same name by historian Andrew Wiest. A+E Studios is producing the series in association with executive producer Jim Head (Ricochet) of Head First Productions and executive producer Michael Prupas (Being Human) of Muse Entertainment.
