CANNES — Germany‘s Red Arrow Entertainment Group has signed a strategic multiyear partnership deal with Scottish shingle STV Productions, producers of reality formats such as Antiques Road Trip, which will see the two companies co-invest and co-develop new formats for the U.K. and international markets.
Newly created formats developed under the deal will be co-produced and piloted on STV’s core channel in Scotland before going to the international market.

The deal follows STV’s format deal with U.S.-based Kinetic Content, a Red Arrow subsidiary, in 2010 under which Kinetic and STV entered into an exclusive agreement to license each other’s formats in their respective countries.
Red Arrow International, Red Arrow’s Munich-based sales arm, will take over worldwide distribution duties outside the U.K. for all completed formats and programs from STV Productions, starting in January 2014.
“We are hugely excited about the opportunities that this new agreement brings,” said Alan Clements, director of content for STV Productions. “STV Productions is an extremely ambitious content business, and this partnership offers fantastic potential to build on the success of our business in an international market.”
STV Productions, Red Arrow and Kinetic are working together on Fake Reaction, a panel show produced for ITV2 in the U.K. and currently in its second series.
