Oprah Winfrey is extending the self-betterment of her Lifeclass series beyond television. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that OWN will launch its first e-course in October, piggybacking onto the recent Lifeclass episode focusing on professor and TED Talks speaker Brene Brown.
Oprah’s Lifeclass Presents Brené Brown: The Gifts of Imperfection will run for six weeks on Oprah.com. The e-course will include live Q&A sessions, a social component, weekly goal-setting exercises, and videos from Winfrey as she takes the class alongside the participants.

The e-course and Brown’s episode of Lifeclass are both tied into her best-selling book, also titled The Gifts of Imperfection.
“It’s been a dream of Oprah’s to offer course work online for our viewers,” said OWN and Harpo Studios president Erik Logan. “We are grateful to take that immersive, innovative next step with a thought leader like Brene Brown, who captured the attention of millions with her groundbreaking TED talk.”
Brown’s 2010 TED Talk has been viewed nearly 13 million times between the TED website and YouTube.
OWN recently wrapped a similar effort in the third installment of Deepak Chopra‘s 21-Day Meditation Challenge. More than 650,000 viewers registered for the free initiative.
OWN is charging $79.99 for the course, with a $10 discount offered to those who register by Sept. 28.
