SACRAMENTO COUNTY—

Huntington Beach police made the grim discovery of two bodies in a park this afternoon.

One of the bodies has been linked to a house fire turned double homicide investigation in rural south Sacramento County.

“[The body] had a driver’s license in his possession in the name of Abraham Felmley. And it looks to be him, who is [in] fact our suspect,” said Sacramento Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Jason Ramos.

The suspect, that is, in this deadly fire that killed 85-year-old Chesley Felmley and his 62-year-old son, Dennis. Abraham was the nephew.

Police sources tell FOX40 that Abraham apparently died of a gunshot wound.

“I don’t know if we have a double homicide, or a murder-suicide. They’re still trying to solidify all that information,” Ramos said.

After firefighters extinguished the flames that destroyed this house, they discovered the bodies of the homeowner and his son.

“Both of the victims sustained injuries that were not a result of the fire. The elderly male had blunt force trauma,” Ramos said.

Family, who didn’t want to talk, told investigators that a white pickup was missing from the house.

“About four hours later in Merced, the victim was carjacked by someone who got out that white pickup truck, confronted him at gunpoint, then took his vehicle from the scene,” Ramos said.

That vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was also found in the Huntington Beach park near the bodies.

As far as the motive for these senseless killings.

“There was information that he had had a history of substance abuse … Sometimes you’re left with a motive that just doesn’t make sense to anybody,” Ramos said.
