PLACER COUNTY—

Two North Highlands men and under arrest on charges they tried to break in and burglarize a Granite Bay home late Friday night.

Deputies showed up to the Twin Rocks area of Granite Bay after residents of a home called 911. The residents had been awakened by the sound of the two men trying to break into the home and called 911 once the two men drove off.

Thanks to a quick response by deputies, the suspects’ car was stopped and two men – 21-year-old David Gibson and 23-year-old Bud Gibson – were found inside.

Authorities say that there was evidence found inside the car that links David and Bud to the attempted break-in.

Both men were arrested and booked at Placer County Jail on attempted burglary and conspiracy charges.
