CITRUS HEIGHTS—

A suspected pipe bomb closed Auburn Boulevard between Manzanita and Greenback lanes late Tuesday evening.

Citrus Heights Police say the device was found near a bus stop along Auburn Boulevard.

The device was detonated around 8:15 p.m, with the roadway reopened by around 8:30.

Police say there weren’t any specific threats made about the device. They are still investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call them at (916) 727-5500.
