The latest Muppets Most Wanted trailer has debuted online, revealing more about the crime-filled follow-up to 2011’s The Muppets.
While a prior trailer focused on the idea of making a Muppets sequel, featuring a puppet cover of Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera‘s hit song “Moves LIke Jagger” — the latest look at the 2014 film reveals more of the plot.
In the new movie, Kermit is mistaken for a similarly-green criminal and circumstances force them to swap lives. Chaos ensues.
One character in particular doesn’t mind the mix-up: when asked, “Do you guys think that Kermit’s been acting a little weird lately?” Miss Piggy responds without hesitation, “That’s ridiculous, he’s never been more caring and devoted to me!”
The trailer also introduces leading man Ricky Gervais as an international tour manager with the name Dominic Badguy — “pronounced Bad-gee…it’s French,” he clarifies to dismiss suspicion. Viewers also see more of Ty Burrell and Tina Fey‘s characters and get glimpses of cameos from Diddy, Danny Trejo and Salma Hayek, among others.
Muppets Most Wanted hits theaters on Mar. 21, 2014.
