LONDON – Craig Fairbrass (Rise of the Footsoldier), James Cosmo (Game of Thrones), Olivia Grant (Mr. Nice), Emmett Scanlan (The Fall) and Tamer Hassan (The Business) have signed for Jonnie Malachi‘s British psychological thriller Breakdown.
Written and directed by Malachi, the movie details the story of a professional contract killer, haunted by visions of his violent past, who spirals out of control and is forced to defend his family from his ruthless employers.

The film is shooting in and around the British capital and is mounted by production banner Screen 360. It is produced by Craig Fairbrass’ son, Luke Fairbrass, making his feature debut.
Fairbrass senior is a familiar face on British TV screens, appearing regularly on BBC soap opera EastEnders since 1985. He also starred in cult British soccer hooligan movie Rise of the Footsoldier, directed by Julian Gilbey.
Luke Fairbrass said: “I feel very fortunate to be working on such a quality script for my debut feature. A resonating story mixed with strong commercial appeal makes this perfectly placed for mainstream audiences.”
The filmmakers are aiming to debut a trailer in Cannes and are touting worldwide rights.
