LONDON – British actor Mark Harris (Abducted, Anuvahood) has signed a development deal with fashion mogul Stewart Goldman of shoe label Chinese Laundry to star in an as yet untitled sequel to Abducted.
The film follows a man’s mission to find his young daughter who has been abducted by an underground crime ring in L.A.

Goldman sealed a co-development rights deal with Harris for a sequel after Abducted won prizes at the Idyllwild Film Festival in the U.S.
Goldman will continue to co-run the family brand CELS enterprises alongside his move into movie producing.
“I’m very much looking forward to making this move from fashion to film with Mark,” Goldman said. “This [Abducted] is one of the most exciting films I have seen in years, and with other fashion empires making a successful move into film production in recent years this collaboration has been on the cards for some time. I’m glad to have finally found a project I believe in enough to make this step.”
Exec producer of Abducted Deji LaRay (CSI:NY) is set to direct the sequel with Kim Biddle, founder and executive director of U.S. sex trafficking prevention charity Saving Innocence, taking a producer credit.
Harris will reprise his role as protagonist Matt Hollis, with an anticipated theatrical rollout in 2016.
Abducted is scheduled to be released in cinemas and via internet services on March 17.
