SACRAMENTO COUNTY—

A violent sexual assault – and the rapist is still out there.

It happened Tuesday night; a woman walked away from the bus stop on Madison Avenue, near I-80, when the suspect grabbed her from behind, drug her down an embankment in a wooded area of the off ramp and raped her.

And it may not be the first time he’s struck.

“That’s sad. I don’t understand why nobody’s caught him yet. Like, I don`t understand that,” said Breana Barrow.

A similar attack happened back in September as the victim walked on Watt Avenue, near Auburn Boulevard. The suspect pulled her from behind and off the roadway where he sexually assaulted her, out of the public’s view.

The suspects are similar in appearance.

In both cases, the suspect is black, around 20 years old and weighing up to 200 pounds. He’s clean-shaven, and both victims described their attacker as wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and dark-colored boots.

Barrow walks along Madison Avenue from work.

“Definitely be more cautious. Definitely. And I’ve got to get something to protect myself … Us being women, especially being smaller, shorter women, a man can easily overpower her,” Barrow said.

And extra protection won’t hurt.

“He’ll be shocked if he messes with me, definitely,” Barrow said.

Anyone with information on who the suspect may be is asked to call the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department.
