With growth on every series, CBS blew the rest of the Big Four out of the water on Thursday night. The network averaged a robust 3.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 12.1 million viewers for the three-hour block — with highs for several series.
The Big Bang Theory, which set records last January, brought in its largest 8 p.m. audience ever with 20.7 million viewers. Among adults 18-49, The Big Bang Theory (5.6 rating) was up two-tenths of a point. The Millers (3.3 adults), tying its series high, was up half of a point. The Crazy Ones (2.4 adults) moved up four-tenths and both Two and a Half Men (2.4 adults) and Elementary (2.0 adults) were up two-tenths.

NBC saw growth too, albeit more modestly. Community (1.4 adults) improved two-tenths from last week’s season premiere and Parks and Recreation (1.4 adults) returned from its long hiatus up four-tenths of a point. Sean Saves the World (1.0 adults) and The Michael J. Fox Show (1.0 adults) both improved from last week by two-tenths. A steady Parenthood (1.3 adults) gave the network nightly averages of a 1.2 adults rating and 3.6 million viewers.
The Taste (1.3 adults) held last week’s premiere score, while The Assets (0.6 adults) sunk a tenth of a point from its poor premiere. That makes it the lowest-rated Big Four drama outing of the season. ABC took a 1.0 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.95 million viewers.
Encores of Sleepy Hollow filled the Fox schedule, posting an average 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.4 million viewers.
The CW, also in encores, took a 0.3 adults rating and 945,000 viewers.
