Amy Acker is heading to Husbands.
The Much Ado About Nothing star will drop by in an upcoming episode of the web series from Jane Espenson and Brad Bell, which debuts in August on The CW Seed. The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a first-look image from the new season of Husbands featuring Acker.
When newlyweds Cheeks (Bell) and Brady (Sean Hemeon) decide to redo their “I dos” with a formal ceremony, Brady’s ex-fiancée Claudia (Acker) — a jilted lover with an agenda of her own — unexpectedly arrives.
Espenson, Bell, Hemeon, co-star Alessandra Torresani, director Jeff Greenstein and Acker will hit San Diego’s Comic-Con on Friday, July 19 at 8 p.m. to preview the season.
Husbands debuted in 2011 and past guest stars have included Nathan Fillion, Joss Whedon, Amber Benson, Tricia Helfer, Felicia Day and Jon Cryer.
The APA-repped Acker, who stars as leading lady Beatrice in Whedon’s Shakespeare adaptation Much Ado, next appears in The Energy Specialist and Scott Foley‘s directorial debut Ward’s Wife.
