The news of Cory Monteith‘s tragic death, an exclusive investigation into the treatment of animals on sets and Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson‘s suspension from the show following anti-gay remarks were The Hollywood Reporter’s most read stories online of 2013.
Monteith’s obituary also was THR‘s most tweeted story of the year, followed by news that Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg had sold their raunchy animated film Sausage Party to Sony.
