SACRAMENTO—

A man who survived the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre was in Sacramento Wednesday to share his experiences and promote an end to gun violence.

Colin Goddard was shot four times in the tragedy but managed to survive. He and Nick and Amanda Wilcox — who lost their daughter in a shooting at the Nevada County Behavioral Health Clinic in 2001 — spoke at Wednesday’s event.

Goddard is currently being featured in the documentary film Living for 32, which was screened at Wednesday’s event.
