Guys With Kids actor Anthony Anderson and Tomorrow People actress Peyton List have been cast in the indie Supreme Ruler.
Marking the feature directorial debut of Duane Edwards, Supreme Ruler also will star Ron Livingston, Natalie Zea, Vincent D’Onofrio, Marcia Gay Harden and Brian Geraghty.
The story follows a small-town man (Livingston) who dreams of becoming “Supreme Ruler” of his local Buffalo Lodge, but is challenged by a hard-drinking womanizer (D’Onofrio). The two adversaries are forced to travel to the Buffalo National Convention in Chicago in order to win the support of the organization’s national leaders.

Stephen L’Heureux is producing via his Solipsist Films banner with Edwards co-producing.
Anderson, whose film credits include Transformers and The Departed, will play a good friend of Livingston’s character. He’s a special aid counselor who runs an institute for children with special needs on the South side of Crater, Ill. Anderson most recently starred as Gary on NBC’s Guys With Kids. He is repped by UTA, Principato Young and attorney Rick Genow at Stone Meyer.
List, who stars as Cara on The CW’s Tomorrow People, also plays Jane Sterling on AMC’s Mad Men. In Supreme Ruler, she’ll play Geraghty’s pregnant young wife who is eager to settle into the new community. She is repped by Innovative Artists.
