GALT-
Hundreds gathered near C and 4th streets Sunday to remember 15-year-old Kyle Gunther, who was hit by a train Friday, and later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
“I just can’t believe he is gone. I can’t believe it,” Gunther’s 10-year-old cousin, Brandon, told FOX40.
As the train passed by the vigil every 30 minutes, the community got an eerie reminder of the moments that lead up to Gunther’s death.
Friends and family tell FOX40 that Gunther was playing a game of chicken with his friends, the last one on the tracks as while train is coming wins the game and is not a considered “chicken.”

Gunther won the game, but family and friends say he slipped at the last moment.
“This will never be right,” Brandon Gunther said.
