NBC is doubling down on Jason Bateman.
A month before the network will premiere the Bateman-produced comedy Growing Up Fisher, NBC has handed out a pilot order to Two to Go.
The single-camera ensemble comedy, which hails from exec producers Bateman, David Janollari and Jim Garavente, centers on longtime best friends Kurt and Laura as they grapple with the challenges of modern-day dating while their group of friends try and prove that they are destined to be together.

The comedy, written on spec by Bryan Shukoff and Kevin Chesley (The Hard Times of RJ Berger), hails from Bateman’s Universal Television-based Aggregate Films banner. Shukoff and Chesley will serve as co-exec producers.
This marks the second pilot order for former MTV programming chief Janollari so far this season under his rich three-year overall deal with NBC. Janollari also is teaming with Deception‘s Liz Heldens for NBC’s Salvation, a drama set up at NBC.
This marks NBC’s 14th comedy pilot order of the season. The network also has three straight-to-series half-hours planned for next season: an untitled entry starring Ellie Kemper from EP Tina Fey; Craig Robinson‘s comedy Mr. Robinson; and Working the Engels.
