Michael Douglas and Matt Damon are reuniting. The Behind the Candelabra co-stars, both nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards, are scheduled to present at this year’s TV kudos.
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the duo would be the first confirmed presenters on Tuesday morning — little surprise considering their HBO Liberace biopic brought in a whopping 15 nominations this year.
Both Douglas and Damon have previously been nominated for Emmys: Damon for 30 Rock and Project Greenlight, and Douglas for Will & Grace and The Streets of San Francisco. They go head-to-head this year in the lead actor in a TV movie or miniseries category.
Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the Ken Ehrlich-produced telecast, airing live on CBS from the NOKIA Theatre at L.A. LIVE. A slew of other presenters will be announced between now and the Sept. 22 event.
