Chevy Chase has found his follow-up to Community: TV Land‘s Hot in Cleveland.
The veteran actor has been tapped to guest-star on an episode of the Betty White starrer, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
During the episode, Elka (White) needs Ross Barkley’s (Chase) endorsement for City Council and convinces Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) to go on a date with him. During the date, Ross reveals to Melanie that he was the sole survivor of a plane crash and has a deep dark secret that haunts him.
The role marks Chase’s first small-screen gig since he exited NBC’s Community following a very public feud with showrunner Dan Harmon.
Chase is also reteaming with his National Lampoon’s Vacation co-star Beverly D’Angelo for a comedy at ABC in contention for the 2015-16 development season.
Hot in Cleveland returns March 26 with a live episode on TV Land. An airdate for Chase’s episode, which he’s filming this week, has not yet been determined.
