PARK CITY — Radius-TWC has acquired North American rights to the upcoming action thriller The Night Comes for Us, which will reunite Timo Tjahjanto (Killers) and Gareth Evans (The Raid: Redemption). Tjahjanto will direct while Evans will produce and handle action direction.
The film, which is scheduled to begin shooting in late spring, also will reunite the stars from the The Raid: Redemption with martial arts phenom Iko Uwais, providing the film’s action choreography. Joe Taslim (The Fast and the Furious 6) and Yayan Ruhian will star in the lead roles.

Evans will produce alongside Maya Barack Evans of PT Merantau Films and XYZ Films’ Nate Bolotin, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer and Todd Brown.
This crime thriller centers around a mobster (Taslim) who returns to his local crime family in Jakarta only to find himself trapped in a word of betrayal and chaos.
“Timo and Gareth are leading the way for a whole new generation of genre directors,” Radius co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego said. “We’re big fans of theirs and couldn’t be more excited to come aboard early.”
Radius is planning a 2015 theatrical release.
Quinn and Janego negotiated the deal with Bolotin and Spicer.
XYZ also is handling international sales on Sundance competition film Life After Beth and produced and is handling world sales on The Raid 2. Both films are making their world premieres at the festival.
