A former member of the Elk Grove City Council will seek a lot split in the city's rural Sheldon area at tonight's Elk Grove Planning Commission.

The request comes from Rick Soares who is seeking to split a 5.14-acre lot on Pleasant Grove School Drive into two parcels. If the split is approved, the new parcel would be used for the future construction of another residential dwelling according the staff report.

Soares was one of five charter council members of the City of Elk Grove's 2000 incorporation but was defeated for reelection in 2006 by current Council Member Pat Hume.

Tonight's meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

See, it's not about the chickens. It's about the perceived superior schools and the lot splits to feather the retirement nests. Watch the systematic cash-for-dirt lot splitting to permeate the rural area.
