It’s not a new album, but today Radiohead devotees got a new release from Thom Yorke and company in the form of a mobile app. Titled PolyFauna, the app takes viewers through a trippy animated realm, much like one would envision along with the band’s 2011 album The King of Limbs.
Users can move their devices in order to gain different views of the app’s abstract landscapes, and touch the screen to draw on top of the presentation, which comes backed by some appropriately eerie music.

The app was created with the U.K. digital arts studio Universal Everything. According to Yorke, it was inspired by the The King of Limbs recording sessions, particularly the album’s lead track, “Bloom.”
Read the full message Yorke posted on Radiohead’s official site below:
We have made an app called PolyFauna.
PolyFauna is an experimental collaboration between us (Radiohead) & Universal Everything, born out of The King of Limbs sessions and using the imagery and the sounds from the song Bloom.
It comes from an interest in early computer life-experiments and the imagined creatures of our subconscious.
Your screen is the window into an evolving world. ?Move around to look around. ?You can follow the red dot.? You can wear headphones.
PolyFauna is available for free for iOS and Android.
