Mirren won an Oscar for her portrayal of William’s grandmother in Stephen Frears’ The Queen.
BAFTA chief executive Amanda Berry said: “We are delighted to welcome our president back to the EE British Academy Film Awards. The Duke [of Cambridge] loves film and he is incredibly supportive of the work BAFTA does.”
Stephen Fry returns as host for the ceremony, which will be broadcast exclusively on BBC One in the U.K. and in all major territories around the world.
