Yahoo COO Henrique de Castro is leaving the company, effective Thursday, the tech giant said in a Wednesday SEC filing.
Yahoo did not name a replacement or offer a reason for de Castro’s departure in its filing.

De Castro was named COO in October 2012 but didn’t start working for the company until the following January.
Prior to joining Yahoo, de Castro worked for Google, serving as vice president of the company’s partner business solutions and managing media, mobile and platforms.
De Castro managed Yahoo’s sales, media, business development and operations worldwide.

De Castro will receive the severance benefits outlined in his employment agreement.
Yahoo has not yet responded to The Hollywood Reporter‘s request for comment.
