Tom Cruise Settles $50 Million Lawsuit Against Life & Style, In Touch Publisher

Tom Cruise’s biggest legal drama since “A Few Good Men” has come to an end.

Attorneys for the “Mission: Impossible” star wrapped up his $50 million lawsuit against the publisher of sister magazines Life & Style and In Touch in a California federal court Friday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Terms of a settlement were not disclosed.

Cruise sued Bauer Media Group back in October 2012 over reports that he essentially abandoned his 7-year-old daughter, Suri.

In the original complaint, a copy of which was obtained by the Daily News, Cruise charges that “through his representatives, plaintiff has attempted to correct these fabrications by providing defendants with the true bacts before the lies went to press. But defendants have demonstrated that they have no interest in the truth, and will stop at nothing to push the sales of their tabloids, even if this means exploiting a defenseless six year old child on their cover.”

Both magazines claimed Cruise had grown increasingly estranged from his daughter after his divorce from her mother, Katie Holmes, earlier this year.

“It’s been 44 days (at press time) since Tom Cruise has been photographed with his daughter Suri, last spotted together at Disney World on Aug. 4,” began the In Touch Oct. 1 cover story.

Cruise’s legal team aggressively pushed to uncover ties between the Germany-based Bauer’s possible ties to Nazis during World War II and any agenda the publisher had against the Church of Scientology.

But during the discovery phase, Cruise was forced to admit in a deposition that he didn’t see his daugher for 110 days and that keeping Suri away from Scientology was the reason Holmes fled their marriage.

Then came the public relations nightmare after Cruise responded to a lawyer’s question comparing his time away on a movie set to a soldier’s tour in Afghanistan.

“That’s what it feels like,” Cruise responded.

“There is difficult physical stamina and preparation,” he whined. “Sometimes I’ve spent months, a year, and sometimes two years preparing for a single film.

“A sprinter for the Olympics, they only have to run two races a day,” he continued. “When I’m shooting, I could potentially have to run 30, 40 races a day, day after day.”

Press should already know there's 2 things you dont mess with! One is gay people & the other is scientology!Scientology is the illuminatti or the puppet masters! They could make you disappearAnd Tom Cruise is Mr. Scientology Himself!
