The day is almost upon us — season 13 of American Idol launches on Jan. 15 with one new judge, Harry Connick, Jr. and three returning talents, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and host Ryan Seacrest, on a mission to find the next great superstar.
Like the contestants themselves, the pressure is on for the Fox show which has seen a 20 percent ratings decline from its season 12 bow. What’s in store for 2014? The series’ principals will reveal their plans for the new year during a Q&A held at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Jan. 14 at 8:30 p.m. EST.
