A probationer suspected of trying to use a stolen credit card was arrested Sunday afternoon by Elk Grove Police.

According to police reports, officers responded to a call from the Elk Grove Best Buy store when 24-year old Ronald Acosta of Wilton was attempting to use a stolen credit card for a purchase. Responding officers detained Acosta and found he was on probation.

A probation search led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. Officers contacted the credit cardholder and confirmed that Acosta was not authorized to use the account.

Acosta was arrested and taken to the county jail where he remains in custody on a $45,000 bail.
