An officer responds to Sac State after reports of a suspicious item.

SACRAMENTO-

Sac State Police need help finding whoever is responsible for repeatedly leaving suspicious items around campus.

Since September, almost a dozen items have been found around school buildings and nearby walkways, all wrapped in black electrical or duct tape. The latest were found Thursday morning.

Campus police say in the past, investigators found random items with little meaning inside the tape, including a tea cup, a bottle of suntan lotion, batteries, and prescription medication.

The items found Thursday were not in areas that would pose a huge threat to students or faculty, however officers took every precaution and cordoned off parts of the campus.

Officers are asking anyone who may know who is leaving these packages around the campus, or has seen someone leaving these items behind, to contact them at (916) 278-6851.
