This Sunday, Peyton Manning‘s Denver Broncos and Pete Carroll‘s Seattle Seahawks are set to meet in Super Bowl XLVIII at metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The kickoff for the big game is at 3:30 p.m. PT on Fox.
Prior to the kickoff, opera singer Renee Fleming will sing the national anthem and Queen Latifah will perform “America the Beautiful.” The halftime show will include performances by singer Bruno Mars and veteran alt-rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The Hollywood Reporter has compiled a roundup of parties and events during big weekend, including DirecTV’s Beach Bowl event on Saturday, ESPN’s Party at Pier 36/Basketball City and Jay Z‘s S Roc Nation Sports VIP Party at 40/40 Manhattan.

Also on game day, Hollywood studios are rolling out pricey Super Bowl spots for 2014 tentpoles. Trailers for Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Disney’s Muppets Most Wanted, Paramount’s Transformers: Age of Extinction and DreamWorks’ Need For Speed are expected to air on Feb. 2.
For those looking for alternative programming, there’s Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl X (12 p.m. PT), National Geographic’s Fish Bowl (3 p.m. PT), Hallmark Channel’s Kitten Bowl and AMC’s Zombie Bowl Walking Dead marathon (8 a.m. PT).
