SACRAMENTO-

Laptops were stolen inside two Starbucks in Sacramento County on the same day, according to Sacramento Police.

The first theft happened inside the location in along Natomas Crossing, when a Mac Book Pro was stolen right off the table.

The victim of the theft spoke to FOX40 under the condition on anonymity.

“Two guys came into the main door,” she said. “One grabbed my laptop and the other one rushed me.”

She says the two men created a distraction, knocking over her tea. One man held the door, while the other one created the diversion and took off with the laptop.

The victim has reached out to The Ward Firm, because she says the manager of the location told her this was the second incident. She feels she should have been made aware of the previous crime.

Attorney Justin Ward says a business is responsible for disclosing crime on their premises.

“If you know of a known hazard, a company has to warn its customer. That’s their duty,” Ward said.

The other incident happened in on Florin Road in the Pocket area.

Starbucks did contact the victim via email and say they will be in touch in the coming days.
